Quick Lush Review: Butterball Bath Ballistic

OMG! I have literally just got out of the bath and came to write this review because I was so excited about it! I bought this a while ago but I have only just got round to using it and it was so amazing! I feel like I have literally just rubbed butter all over myself. I have had Lush baths before and the water was soft and moisturising, but I wasn't expecting the butterball to make it THIS moisturising!

It dissolved in the water kind of slowly, and you could see bits of cocoa butter coming out of it! It smells amazing too! More subtle than other Lush products though.

My Back To School Makeup Essentials

Hi everyone, the summer holidays are nearly over (Finally! I've been off since May!) and I am excited to go back to school to start my A Levels, so I thought I would give you a list of what makeup I love to wear to school!

So, the first thing is obviously a foundation. Personally, I go for a very natural look and don't like to look cakey or orange. My two favourite foundations are Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Gel Foundation, I am colour 100 Ivory (click here to see my review on it) and Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation, I am colour Light Porcelain 001.

My favourite blush to use is Avon True Colour Blush in Soft Plum. This gives a very natural flush of colour and is great for school. Also, I love to use a pink lipstick for blush. Just dab a bit on the apples of your cheeks and blend it in with your fingers!

For eyeshadow I love to use Avon True Colour Tiger's Eye (limited edition, so unfortunately you can't get it anymore) a good alternative would be Avon 24K Gold Eyeshadow Quad. I also love to use the Avon 8 in 1 Neutral Tones Palette which I don't think you can get anymore either. A good alternative would be Makeup Academy Professional Eye Palette Heaven & Earth.

My favourite eyeliner at the moment is Smashbox Limitless Eyeliner in Onyx. It glides on the waterline really smooth and stays put.

And last but not least, I love the Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara in Extreme Black (click here to see my review of it).

Are you excited to go back to school? Or are you dreading it? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks

My skincare routine!

Hi everyone, I thought I would show you my skincare routine! I have normal skin, except in winter when it goes quite dry.

1. The first thing I do is wet my face with warm water and apply either My Skin Rise and Glow Daily Facial Wash (Left) or Lush's Aqua Marina (Right), massage it into my face, then rinse.

2. Pat face dry with a towel and apply moisturiser, either Lush's Enzymion or Lush's Skin Drink. I know that both of these moisturisers or total opposites; Enzymion is for oily skin and Skin Drink is for very dry skin. I tend to use Enzymion more as it feels nicer and isn't as oily and greasy as Skin Drink. I use Skin Drink when my skin feels tight or I have a random dry or irritated patch.

Occasionally, I will use Lush's Love Lettuce face mask, I love this stuff! It leaves my skin feeling so soft and fresh!

Have you tried any of these products? If so, I would love to hear your thoughts on them, leave a comment! I will reply to it!

Thanks

Review: Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara in Extreme Black

Hi everyone, today I'm going to be talking about the Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara in Extreme Black. So the reason I bought this mascara in Extreme Black rather than Black is because I like a really black mascara that doesn't make my eyelashes look like a squished spider or make them look clumpy.

This mascara is perfect for me because it doesn't make them look like a squished spider, it just makes them look really long, black and natural. On the packaging it says that it is supposed to make your eyelashes grow longer. It doesn't. Well, it makes them look longer when you wear the mascara but I haven't noticed a huge difference in the length of my lashes to be honest (I have quite long lashes anyway so maybe that has something to do with it).

It is £8.99 at Superdrug. Compared to other mascaras from Superdrug it isn't the cheapest but it isn't the most expensive either; it is somewhere in between but slightly more towards the more expensive side. I would prefer the price to be a little bit less because, although I love it, it doesn't really do what it says which is to make your eyelashes grow. But in conclusion, I do love this mascara!

Have you tried this product? If so, let me know what you think of it in the comments section!

Thanks for reading.

Purchase of the Week! H'Suan Wen Hua.

Hi everyone, I thought that I would make a series of blog posts about the favourite thing I purchase each week and tell you my first impression of it, where it's from, what it is, how much it was, etc. So the first one is the H'Suan Wen Hua.

What is it and where is it from? A hair treatment from Lush. Here is what the Lush website says about the product: "Mega-moisturiser for super-conditioning care to feed your hungry hair. It's Lush salad dressing for the head; a nutritious treat to make hair more healthy and pleased to be alive! Avocados are nutritious and softening, balsamic vinegar gives amazing shine, and watercress infusion is exceptionally high in vitamins and increases the tensile strength of the hair. H'Suan Wen Hua means The God of Hair in Cantonese (we think), and our intention is to give you the hair of a deity. Use it on days when  you'd like your hair to be worshipped."

How do you use it? On the container it says: "Apply loads to dry hair, massage in and leave for 20 minutes, then shampoo out and condition normally."

How much was it? £8.50 Not a bad price considering I will get between 4 and 6 uses out of it!

What does it smell like? A little bit like gingerbread but more herby and plant-like. It is a quite nice smell.

I am very excited to try this product as I have heard good things about it and my hair is in need of a treat!

For those of you who don't know what Lush is, it is a company that uses only natural ingredients for their products and don't test them on animals. Also, most of their products are suitable for vegans. Check out the Lush website for more information.

Have you tried this product? If so, leave you thoughts on it in the comments section! I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks

Lush Product Review: Jasmine and Henna Fluff-eaze

For those of you who don't know what Lush is, it is a company that uses only natural ingredients for their products and don't test them on animals. Also, most of their products are suitable for vegans. Check out the Lush website for more information.
I am a HUGE fan of Lush and this was the first hair product I tried from them and I have to say I really liked it! The description on the website reads: "Smoothing and softening the fluffiest locks. Ease your fluff with our supremely calming, Jasmin and Henna Fluff-Eaze pre-wash conditioner. Almond oil is smoothing and the blend of essential oils will de-tangle hair that's become troublesome and difficult. If you suffer from tangled and frizzy hair, this one's especially for you."
To use it, apply a fairly generous amount to dry hair (just the ends or everywhere, it is your choice) and leave it in for about 15 minutes then wash it out, apply shampoo and rinse. Your hair won't feel as soft and as slippery as it would after using normal conditioner, but don't be fooled! That doesn't mean that it isn't working! Trust me, after you have brushed your hair through and dried it your hair will be so soft!
This product worked really well for me and it did reduce the frizz, although, I'm not crazy about the smell. And I found that the smell changed after my hair dried and I wasn't a fan of that smell either. But if you do like the smell then it is a good thing that the smell stays in your hair for ages! The price wasn't bad at £11.50 for 220g of product which lasted me several uses!
Have you tried this product? If so, what did you think of it? Leave a comment telling me your thoughts on it! I would love to hear what you have to say!

Review: Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Gel Foundation

This is my new favorite foundation! It claims to adapt to skin tone and texture and it really does! I am the palest person I know and I am shade 100 Ivory (the lightest shade) and, although it doesn’t match perfectly straight away, it changes colour to my exact skin tone. With the Maybelline foundations I am Light Porcelain (yes, I’m that pale! And even that is slightly too dark!) so I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I can get away with this foundation.
It also blends in with the texture of your skin like it says on the tub and makes your skin look so smooth. The finish is very natural-looking. I wouldn’t say that it is matte, but it’s not far off. The coverage is quite light but it is easily buildable without looking cakey. The consistency is unique; it is in between a gel and cream (hence the name “Cream Gel”!) and it sinks in to your skin fairly quickly. Another thing I love about this product is that when you are wearing it, it doesn’t feel like you are wearing any foundation!
The only negative thing I can say about it is that you have to use a fair bit of product to get a good coverage (one coat is enough for me personally).
The price is very reasonable at £6.99.
And it smells good!
Have you tried this foundation? If so, I would love to hear your thoughts on it!
